Rock Ferry Pier

These two snaps, taken in 1939, belong to the same album as yesterday's picture of HMS Conway.
According to wiki, the ferry service was discontinued at the end of June 1939. (wiki link)

Here's a link to more info on the S.S Storeton, which was in service between Rock Ferry and Liverpool.

  1. And Rock Ferry is? Ah, it's the other bank of the Mersey. Parts of the Rock Ferry Pier are still standing, it's an oil terminal nowadays.
